Ye Babam Ye - Reading

The onion rings were soggy, the nugs and chips were not good. However, the side salad was amazing and definitely the best in Reading. The chillis were good. When ordering a lot of side salads, they seemed to become more scarce. The seish was okay, the pita was decent but soggy. The diet coke and fanta were well chilled. Everything always comes in a bag, which is helpful because nothing leaks. The halloumi in the wrap was good, but overall my stomach hurt afterwards. They provided plenty of chili sauce when asked in the shop. In conclusion, I would definitely order the side salad again.

My order was delivered by the police. They had arrested the driver at the end of my road for driving with no licence, no insurance and being under the influence of drugs! I was already pissed as my food had taken two hours to get to me but when I opened the bag it was completely the wrong food. It was cold and soggy garlic bread with cold curly fries. Nothing relevant to my order. I called yebambamye and explained but they said there was nothing they could do as they had no other drivers. I asked for a refund and was told I couldn’t have one as he didn’t know the password? The guy eventually said he would get his boss to sort it later and pretty much hung up on me. No apology or refund so far. I would avoid this place. If they are willing to cut corners with drivers it makes Me wonder if they cut corners with hygiene or kitchen standards. Now doing a chargeback through my bank.

I asked for a mixed kebab last night. The delivery was fast. Donner had a very strange taste, but I was hungry and I ate a lot. This morning I had some stomach aches and when the afternoon came, I felt really bad. Avoid this place at all costs!

I highly recommend choosing this restaurant. I can really tell from my long experience that they have the best quality of meat, always have fresh food and I never had any trouble with my command. So, 5 stars for them.

The kebabs are alright but over priced, and don't get me started on the cheese cake... 3 quid for a slice what a rip off... overall they are ok but nothing special, not the best in Reading as others claim
