We have been to Pazzo many times and have had a great time. Unfortunately , last night was not stellar. We waited 35 minutes for an appetizer and another 45 minutes for our entrees. The waitress was wonderful but the kitchen needs help. Extremely slow ! We are hoping this is a one time event but we came very close to leaving and that is not good an incentive to coming back. Hopefully, they can fix the kitchen soon.
Our waiter, Eli, was fantastic. The food was amazing. We sat in the patio and there was a bit of a fly issue. The kitchen also had an issue and the entrees took a long time to come out, but they did apologize and offer complimentary beverages. At one point, a busser was hammering a table next to us and a rowdy group was sat behind us, but that can’t really be helped. The food and service were truly excellent!
The bronzino was delicious, but a little too much artichoke with it. Restaurant started to get busy, but we were in no hurry. Always love the Tower for 2 dessert.
First time there after hearing a lot of good things, so we were surprised a bit surprised at the mediocrity. We were seated in the covered patio area which has open panels to the outside. Completely over air-conditioned to the point of being uncomfortable. The chairs are annoyingly low to the ground so the table rises up to the chest, making you feel like a 5 year-old sitting at the grown-up table after your parents ran out of phone books. We sat there for 15 minutes before anyone came to our table and it was a fairly light crowd at that point. After that things got better. The craft cocktails were very good. The fresh hot sliced Italian bread and olives that were brought to the table were also very good. We each got a cup of pasta e fagioli that was good. Split decision on the entrees. My Chilean Sea Bas Marechiata was perfect. The fish was delicious and moist--cooked perfectly. The tomato broth with baby clams and mussels was outstanding. My wife 's Pollo Piccata was not nearly as good however. The scallopini chicken needed to be dredged in a light flour and lightly sautéed to golden. It was instead just white pieces of scallopini chicken in the lemon/caper sauce. If they did dredge it in flour, the technique was off and the dish looked unappealing with stark white chicken in the sauce. The sauce was also a bit too lemon-forward and the chicken just tasted like lemon. The potato croquette that was on the plate was excellent however. We are not dessert eaters so I can 't offer a critique of that course. Overall our experience was okay . The place has a nice large square bar and we could see where it would be a fun place to come with friends. We will probably return to give it another try but we will definitely sit inside.
