This is our 3rd visit since December 2016 and I wonder if the ownership or management has changed and not for the better. I specifically ordered a dish that supposedly had cilantro in it. From what I could gather they may have waved a sprig of it over the dish which doesn't count. I went to counter with my dish saying that it looked like the cilantro was not added and expected a: "sorry about that - let me give you some" but instead: "oh we add it but very little" to which I said that what ever they added it didn't cut it since I couldn't pick it out nor taste it. She reluctantly gave me a 1/4 spoonful but at least I could taste it now. After my second bite I noticed the carrots in the dish tasted weird - kind of a chlorine taste. I picked them out, ate the rest of salad and went back to counter to tell the fellow he should taste their carrots because the had a funny taste. He did say thanks but did not enquirer further to me picking that up. To top it all up my daughter went back for some more dressing which this time was going to cost her $0.53 - last time we were there it was free. Needles to say we are not stopping there again and the staff should look up the definition of customer service. I know this is a semi fast food joint but that is no excuse for unfriendly service.
I stopped for lunch when travelling between Edmonton and Calgary and was glad I picked this lunch stop. The food was fresh, served up quickly, the staff was friendly. I appreciated all the variety on the menu boards.
As I sit here eating a yummmmeeee whole bowl #1 with added smoked tofu I get why it costs $12.34. It is so fresh, hot and amazing I can't wait to return. Not sure if the previous reviewers are pickier than me, or if you've just stepped it up as suggested. I make something similar in my my own restaurant and its lovely to eat out and have food ss good as my own! At lease 2 maybe even three people greeted me upon entering. Lots of friendly faces means quick service. Thanks for a great, healthy meal!
As we like to try out new restaurants, we were looking forward to this one in Gasoline Alley south of Red Deer. Since we have never been here before, we felt a bit disjointed but the ordering process went well considering that you need to order from the counter as it is not a sit down restaurant.I order the full size Whole Bowl #2 with chicken as the protein. My wife ordered the half size salad with the apples, etc. With each buying a small bottle of iced tea, our cost was $27.30 with GST. Needless to say we were surprised at the total and it seemed to be expensive for what you actually get.The disappointing part for us was the salad my wife had. The lettuce was completed wilted by the time she was half way through the meal. We feel the lettuce had been to the point of just about being frozen and therefore the condition it turned into. Not a good thing to try and impress a new customer. My spinach in my salad was very good and the meal was tasty. Will we return anytime soon. Not likely. Give it a few years and I think we would try it again.
