Springfield Tavern - Redbank Plains

Wanted to try somewhere new, went there to catch up with my mum. My little cousin tagged along as well. I ordered the 300g rib fillet w/ fries, salad and mushroom sauce. She ordered the 200g eye fillet w/ vegetables and salad. Little cousin got kids nuggets. She enjoyed her meal, said it was great but mine not so much. The salad had too much dressing on it and the steak had a few bits of fat through it (though I was kind of expecting that from a rib fillet but didn't want to get the eye fillet as it was only 200g and it was either the rib fillet or the rump which I find is much worse.) On the plus side the chips were hot crunchy and the sauce was quite nice. Little cousin only ate the chips and one nugget. I tried a nugget tasted like the frozen ones you buy from the supermarket. Plus side has a kids playroom and playground.Overall would probably rate average, most likely to not recommend or go back.

Went there on the 14th of Feb for dinner with the Mrs and 2 kids 2 and 5. They have a playground outside which is pretty good but needs more drainage in the equipment to remove settled water.Kids loved it all anyway.The special for Tuesday night is buy a main, get another for $7. We ordered chicken schnitzel and chicken Parmigiana, as well as the cheesy bacon garlic bread. All we could say was YUM. Food was hot and delicious. I couldn't finish the parmy as I got full, but quick food, great service and I highly recommend it.

I was presently surprised, the food was fantastic. Friendly service. In all, a great night. Also, reasonably priced.

The food is good well priced. Fast they have different deals through the week . Great cuts of meat. Deals for kids there is a kids room and great meals for the kids

We have been going here since the tavern opened...and have seen many kitchen changes. Yes, we have gone away at times, but came back when the new chef took over. We are always happy with our meals and the staff are very friendly. They will accommodate any meal amendments also.
