The onion rings were also burnt and all stuck together. When I asked to speak with the manager, I informed her that I wouldn’t be paying for the burger, as I had only taken three small bites to assess its quality. She didn’t respond, offered no apology, and made no effort to make things right; she simply took my plate away and walked off. I left feeling hungry and disappointed. However, our server, Veronica, was attentive and provided excellent service. Perhaps this was just an off day for the restaurant, but I’m not sure if I’ll return.
Avoid this restaurant if you are gluten intolerant! I informed the waiter at least three times before he brought my meal that I have a severe gluten sensitivity and needed a gluten-free option. Halfway through my meal, I discovered that the rice actually contained wheat pasta. Thankfully, my reaction didn’t require a hospital visit, but I did experience intense stomach cramps. It seemed like the waiter didn’t really understand what gluten is, and the chef appeared to be equally uninformed. I'm shocked that a nice, relatively expensive restaurant trying to maintain a good reputation could be so careless about this issue. They did offer an apology, but we won’t be returning.
We chose a new restaurant to celebrate our wedding day dinner, and I'm honestly feeling a bit let down. I had hoped this would be our go-to spot every year. We both ordered steaks; hers was decent, but mine was off in a way that makes me never want to eat beef again. They were kind enough to offer us some dessert to make up for it, which was a nice gesture, but it didn’t really help with the awkward evening we experienced. I can't turn dessert into a meal. I'm truly disappointed and just hope this doesn't become a memory that lingers from our special day.
I would strongly advise against dining here if you are gluten intolerant. I specifically informed the waiter at least three times before my meal arrived that I was extremely sensitive to gluten and needed my dish to be gluten-free. Halfway through my meal, I discovered that the rice contained wheat pasta. Thankfully, my reaction didn't require a hospital visit, but I did suffer from severe stomach cramps. It was clear that the waiter, and apparently the chef as well, did not fully understand what gluten is. I’m surprised that a nice, somewhat pricey restaurant seeking to build a good reputation could be so unaware of this issue. They did apologize, but we will not be returning.
My daughter and I shared an appetizer that was absolutely delightful. It featured generous pieces of artichoke chicken placed on Brie cheese atop toasted crostini, all drizzled with a delicious artichoke aioli sauce. It was incredibly tasty and just perfect!
