Noodle Star - Redfern

This is probably the worst food I've had in a long time...Soggy, bland and strange. Noodles tasted like metal. Tried to complain but staff found it funny. Won't be coming back....cheap and nasty!

Stumbled upon this on our brief visit to Surry Hill. The place is not your classy restaurant sort of place, more like for budget travellers. Had a bowl of seafood wanton noodle. The portion was generous, with an assortment of items like squid, fish slices, fishball and wanton; sufficient for a middle-aged Asian couple to share!

Roast duck or Prawn Laksa... Just perfect! And it hasn't changed for years! Such a great cheap feed when you are in the area. Laksa style is more Singaporean, not thick like a Penang curry, nor watery or diluted... Just a great balance of everything a laksa should be!!!Everyone probably has their favourite style of laksa, so you would guess this is probably mine!Staff are friendly... But you don't come for the service! Special fried rice is also very popular with the locals.They have changed the signage out the front... It used to read 'Chinese and Asian food' which I always found mildly amusing!Enjoy!!!
