I was looking for a pizza place tonight and stumbled on crust. the menu sounded amazing and there were nice rugged coming from the kitchen. I chose the Vietnamese chilli chicken. it read as marinated chicken breast fillets, schalotten on a tomatenhoisin, sweet chili...and garlic base with Slav, fresh coriander, chili and coriander aioli. sounds amazing. I paid $18 for what they call a medium pizza and I call it a small pizza. when I opened the box, I was lost for a cake. every component of this pizza was shot and I mean everything. I could see where they were going with the aromen and if they were pushing more on them, it would have been great. don't waste your money. I have attached a photo of our pizza
It's not hard to make a good pizza, but despite claiming to be gourmet, the pizza at Crust is only slightly better than the $6.95 pizzas at Eagle Young's. The presentation and quality leave much to be desired.
After seeing an advertisement while watching a movie, we decided to try the traditional margherita pizza at the restaurant. We expected it to have mozzarella cheese, real tomato slices, and preferably real basil. However, we were disappointed to find that it was not as authentic as we had hoped. The pizza had mozzarella, but the tomato base seemed to be made from tomato paste and was sprinkled with oregano instead of basil. Overall, it did not meet our expectations of a traditional margherita pizza.
We've eaten here half a dozen times. The first couple of times the pizza was divine, but the latest visits have seen a decline in pizza toppings and they just aren't as good as they were when they started. Such a shame as we were looking forward to a great pizza on a regular basis.
