The food is very good but one thing that irritates me to no end is when I go in to pick up an order for delivery they don't drop the fries until you check in making you wait 5 minutes or more. I've waited up to 30 minutes for an order before. It's a waste of time and incredibly inefficient.
When a restaurant offers peanuts in the shell, is it not the expectation that customers will drop the shells on the floor? I was called out across the store by the surly cashier for doing this, then when I offered to clean it up, she said No, you 're fine. Well don 't worry, I won 't be back to make a mess in your store again.
Follow up: the manager creepily called me to talk about this review. Corporate said it would take 5-10 days to get a refund. I’m definitely done with five guys at all locations.Ordered online and after about 10 minutes it said ready to pick up. Went over to pick up and they said it would be “a few minutes” for fries. This is my lunch break and I don’t have time to wait. Called to have them cancel the order and the woman who answers had serious attitude, saying “well it’s ready now do come pick it up.” I told her I couldn’t and she said it would be 5 days till I get a refund. So now I’m sitting here hungry, with $20 less dollars because this restaurant doesn’t understand basic things like what “it’s ready” means. Honestly mistakes happen but that woman’s attitude in the phone is why I left this review.
Ordered food for pick up 30 mins before arriving and let them know my ETA, order started once I arrived. I had a simple double patty burger with cheese and bacon, no flavor and bacon was weak sauce. Shake barely had flavor even though it was an Oreo shake. Cajun fries are fine due to their price and quantity. Staff had a good attitude but I’m there for the food.
