The flavor and texture was balanced and not just straight sugar. I generally don't go back for seconds with normal cake because it's just too sweet and one dimensional but I was able to finish like half this cake... ooops.
Have tried a few cakes. I have liked all of them. Especially like their chocolate moose, fruit cake and taro cake(which was surprisingly good)
It?s not technically a mousse. Most of the cake slice is sponge so it isn?t very rich and sweet. Green tea doesn?t taste like green tea and has red beans in them. Liked Black Forest better than the rest.
Grew up coming here since the early 2000s. Really great baked goods, cakes and boba. Have never tried their hot meals but I?ve heard good things. People on here complain about raised prices- while I understand how frustrating it can be, the pandemic hurt many small businesses and recovery is a stressful and long process. I?m very glad they survived. Come here if you can afford the costs (which I don?t believe are too outrageous compared to bakeries in the city) but I don?t think they should be knocked too bad for it x
Solid. Picked up 30 buns $3/bun) to travel back home. I didn?t eat all the buns but their Dan-tat egg tart) is very good. 5 out of 5. At $2.25 versus Chinatown at $1.35-$1.65), this place is better. For the size? It?s half the size and an extra 40%, I would choose Chinatown. Apparently no one here serves the flaky crust version but luckily, I like the short bread cookie version for my egg tart. The boba? Good. The coffee milk tea is okay, 3 star. I would recommend a different flavor although this is based on one experience. Overall, 4-star. Enjoy peeps.
