Contribuisci feedbackI can't say enough great things about Dustin and his team. Food and service is always top notch. He communicate about his events very well and responds very quickly if you have any questions. Pastrami anything is a must (especially the beef cheeks, when available). Cream corn is to die for it's unlike any cream corn you'll find anywhere. Don't forget to also get all the pickled vegetables. I will definitely miss his food if/when he leaves LA. Please stay, Dustin! Also, eff ESBC.
Incredible Ribs, Pork Belly Burnt Ends Brisket BBQ Beans! As I write this review I am saddened by the recent news that Dustin Bartz is closing down this business. (NOTE: Just read on Instagram that they will remain open at least thru December. So follow them on Instagram for the latest news). Bartz has been on my BBQ places to try for quite some time. I recently drove out of my comfort zone and went to a Sunday pickup. $240 of assorted BBQ. Some were exceptional and others were good. But to me the star was the pork ribs. I don't recall ever having anything better. The burnt ends and the BBQ bean with the added brisket were equally amazing. The pastrami stuff was OK but Langers is better. Wasn't crazy about the creamed corn sides. But those ribs were well worth the drive. Five stars is to low. Ten stars would be the correct amount. Dustin...good luck in your future endeavors
I had these guys cater my wedding and the food was amazing. so good. in fact, I kept telling friends to take home leftovers and too many of them listened to me because I was only left with one sausage and a rib after everyone had left. those filthy animals!Anyways, everything was extremely delicious. It was an exceptionally cost-effective way to cater an event. And they put up with my specifications, and were well equipped to just drop off the food considering the Rona and all.I only wish they had a brick-and-mortar so we could go there once Covid's over, but we can always just pick up their weekly product.
Bartz is still serving during the quarantine and the food is still amazing! You select a time online, email your choices, and pick up on the selected date. We got a ton of brisket, pulled pork, beef rib, and belly burnt ends. The brisket is to die for, but everything was really good! The sides we got were Mac and cheese, creamed corn, and baked beans. That creamed corn is something else smoky, creamy, delicious. Bottom line: get the creamed corn and the brisket no matter what. Nice guy, good food, and easy pick up! We're excited for Ale Works beer and BBQ once everything opens back up!
This afternoon I stopped in Vons to purchase a few items for tomorrow's BBQ work and as I approached the door to get a basket I noticed an elderly man going p right outside the door, there were several customers walking in as well and 2 store employees who witnessed exactly what I did. I asked one of theVons employees shouldn't you open the other door since they only have one entrance and one exit she agreed with me that way the people walking in would not have to inhale or possibly step in fecal matter. After 25/30 minutes inside the store I walk out and the MESS/FECAL MATTER is still there on the ground directly in front of the door. The only door that's open. Although they threw some paper towels down on top of the mess it should not have been there for over 30 minutes while numerous customers walked in and out of that store. The Vons employee never shut that door and open the other door so that customers could safely walk in without transmitting bacteria, germs that could possibly infect everyone inside that store employees and customers. The way the cleanup took place was unacceptable the man had fecal matter on his hands touching the wall as he walked away and who knows what else he touched that FRONT of the store needs to be shut down and power washed immediately. I also recommend training take place with the employees immediately so this does not happen again. There is a powder solution that is used in businesses for incidents like this and when that powder solution is not available you can ALWAYS use kitty litter or baking soda should be applied immediately to prevent bacteria and germs from going airborne. I have a Ralph's supermarket right around the corner from my house but I have been a loyal Von's customer for decades and I am very very disappointed and angry at what I witnessed today. ESPECIALLY with this COVID-19 CRISIS that WE ARE ALL DEALING WITH
