With that being said, I'm sure you can get a lot of business with a back the blue sticker on your door as I would assume a lot of your clientele are police officers. But I don't think it should be a surprise when people are turned off by this as well. I guess from my perspective I don't understand why you would need to promote your stance on such a hot topic issue when people are just trying to have breakfast. As a customer it's disappointing that we had to turn around and go elsewhere but of course, as i stated, completely entitled to your opinion.
First off the orange juice is fresh squeezed served in a mason jar with a handle. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is fresh to order. Every pastry I have tried was worth consuming every calorie. Parking is limited and the space inside is small but the wait is not usually long because of the amazing service.
During the pandemic i'd order takeout from this place, and was always satisfied with my order....last weekend, i finally decided it was time to dine-in! hubby and i arrived around 1130 on sat morning and it was medium busy, we probably missed the early morning breakfast crowd! we were seated at a table in the corner, and right away, i noticed there was a pretty big crack in the table, it was cosmetic, but big enough that i kinda looked at it the entire time and felt it underneath my elbow. also, the noise level is quite high, unsure if this is due to the loud couple at the table next to us, or the low ceilings, but it was difficult for me to converse with my husband during our hour there. i ordered the veggie omelet with mushrooms, bell peppers, onions and spinach. as usual, i requested egg whites, ensured there was no cheese, and chose whole wheat toast. for the potato option, i chose the hash browns and gave them to my hubby. speaking of which, he ordered the bacon cheeseburger, roughly a 1/3 lb patty with american cheese, applewood bacon, mayo, lettuce and tomato, with a side of french fries. we both enjoyed our food, nothing out of this world, but enough to fill our tummies after a moderate saturday morning workout. we actually ended up taking most of the fries and hash browns home, so the portions were definitely generous. and for $40, incl tax and tip, we were pretty satisfied. limited and tight parking in their dedicated lot...if full, you'll need to park on the street.
A small place with quality service, good dishes, and wonderful pastries. I'm sure it can get a bit cramped for lunch and on weekends for breakfast, but we went on a weekday for breakfast and couldn't have been more pleased.Parking: A small lot, might be tricky to get in and out of.
A client suggested we meet here for breakfast: lunch. I had the eggs Benedict and they were very good!
