We loved Jalapeno/Cheddar, but after several attempts we dried the tomato salad, too much tomatoes. I was back this month and bought several loafs from your standard sourdough (you were from Jalapeno/Cheddar) and I love it. Thanks for the bread.
OH MY OH MY. We live in Brookings and my hubby stopped for the first time ever on his way home from Portland today. He picked up 2 loaves. So good. We will be stopping many more times, now that we know.
There isn't anything in this place that isn't awesome! If you're going by you just have to stop and have some yummy goodies.
Bigger place that it looks on the outside. A small variety of sourdough breads $3-$8), a coffee stand, cheeses, wine, jam, and a section of apparel and souvenirs. We only tried the bread, which was delicious! The lady who helped us when we were there was friendly and helpful. The shop has a couple picnic tables out front to sit on a sunny warm day. Great local place to drop by right off Hwy 101 for a pit stop. Will return anytime we're passing by.
The flavored sourdough bread was great. However in my opinion very expensive at $8.00 a loaf for the Kalamata Olive. They offer half price for the day old bread or they have two day old loaves in the freezer that sell for 3 $10.00. We tried the Jalapeno and Cheese also. The cheese chunks were enormous but lacking Jalapeno chunks altogether. We will definitely go back for more Kalamata Olive bread. (Out of the freezer, 3 $10.00)
