If you're feeling hungry and in need of a filling meal, head over to Asia Palace. They offer a variety of Chinese dishes, along with a selection of delectable desserts and dim sum options. In addition to their traditional menu items, you can also choose to add on small items such as taro or custard buns to your meal. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions of food you receive. The quality of the food and service are both excellent as well.
I have been a regular at this restaurant since January or February of this year because the food is delicious and the staff is friendly. The dim sum is fresh and affordable, with generous portions of fried rice that can serve as a meal on its own. While they offer combos and a buffet, the flavors of the dim sum are so fantastic that the buffet is not necessary. Some minor complaints include the need for more frequent cleanings of the fish tank, attention to refilling soap and fixing the toilet in the third stall to the left in the ladies' bathroom, and the need for at least two servers working the tables. Overall, it is a wonderful dining experience.
We were unhappy with the lack of experience staff and only had a soup meal. Since then we have ben told about the delicious buffet lunch and how they are trying very hard to change over to an ASIAN FOOD Restaurant
When this restaurant opened as Simmer Pot it was a fantastic! The only sad part of the tale is that the few people that came to the restaurant always bemoaned that it was not Chinese-Canadian food. They wanted the usual boring board of fare, buffets and the like. So the recipe for great menu items changed, and ownership changed hands. Eventually after some time it has been transformed into Asia Palace with new owners. The food is still really very good and they attempt to cater to the boring board of fare, however, not everyone has understood that it's a different kind of restaurant now and still want a **** buffet! Well for those that want something a little different in a Chinese restaurant in Regina I strongly recommend you come here. There is no buffet so don't ask for it and ask yourself to try something new for a change. You won't regret it!
