The server seemed a bit rough at first, but ended up being better than expected. They offered a good selection of local beers on tap, which was a nice bonus. The meal was decent overall. The Reuben sandwich I ordered was alright, but it seemed to be missing some sauerkraut and Swiss cheese, and the Dill-Peal was only a small sliver. The fish and chips, supposed to be the best in the city, were disappointing. The fish was mushy and the batter was too thick. It's possible that we just caught them on a bad day, or maybe their quality has declined.
I had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant in my hotel. It was a real treat to not have to search for dinner after a long day. The serving staff was friendly and welcoming, and the chef was willing to accommodate my dietary requirements by adjusting the side dishes. I really appreciated that!
Are you in the mood to try something different? If so, we highly recommend checking out this fantastic restaurant where we discovered a unique dish of dried meat and onions served in Yorkshire pudding with a delightful gravy drizzled on top. We were drawn to this place by their burger and pint special, and we were not disappointed! The burgers were absolutely amazing, and the fries were crispy and delicious. This hidden gem is located across from the Royal Hotel on Albert Street.
After I heard a Hankering for fish and chips and many good things about London Belle's offer, my wife and I decided to brave the pandemic and go last night. The restaurant was sparsely populated with just a few tables, so we were... suitable to sit distance from others, and all COVID precautions seemed to be room. All right. We have placed our order, including a few local craft beers at a special price and in. And waited. And waited a few more than we watched what clearly our food order was delivered to another table that arrived long after us. It was obvious to us what happened in the face of the confusion at this table when their headquarters arrives at the starters, and we were able to listen clearly to the employees who discuss the situation behind the bar. But at no time we got a direct statement or a different excuse than a grumped comment by the waitress about the delay. On the positive side, the fish and the chips were delicious, not too much crushed and perfectly cooked. Although people should know that the price on the menu is for a single piece of fish, but the 2 piece was positioned as a normal order. We were a little surprised to see a higher price on the bill. These pieces are big and you really need to eat a huge appetite 2, and this should be identified on their menu. Even though we were filled with fish, we could not help and decided to try the sticky toffee pudding and it was also excellent. So summarizing, big fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding, but a great miss on the service. Therefore, the mediocre review in theis review.
My wife and I went out for supper last night at London Belle. Our waitress was attentive and cheerful, sincerely interested in making our meal a good experience. My wife had a dish of ther tasty fish and chips, I had a margarita pizza. We...shared a really yummy beet salad. As a vegetarian I've had a few margarita pizzas and theirs was the best yet. Rich abundant cheese, I counted three types of cherry tomato, and spotted with tangy little green islands of flavour. Very much enjoyed everything.
