After the 10 hour drive back from Edmonton my bro n I were craving some good ol Saskatchewan style pizza.
Pretty costly, too soggy, I only like crust and the pizza is cut with lots of thick centre squares. You get a fountain coke which I like. I try every few years then recall why I look elsewhere.
We went to Western Pizza before 5 on a Thursday and ordered a medium pizza and lasagna. Two shared the pizza and one person had the lasagna. The lasagna was large and very good. Two juicy thick slices of garlic bread came with the lasagna. The three-topping medium pizza was just the right size for two to share. There was enough topping but I've seen thicker toppings on pizzas when I've ordered their family combos. The server was cordial and attentive. Food arrived within 15-20 minutes. Pizza was $20, lasagna $14 and fountain drinks $3There were a few people dining during the time we were there. A few customers also came in for take out orders. When we left about an hour later, people (families) were arriving for an evening meal. The restaurant is divided into two dining areas -- a section with booths and a dining room with tables/chairs which can accomodate larger groups.
I live right next door to this place so I've eaten here a few times. Last time I ordered a personal pan pizza there was only a 15 min wait and it was hot and delicious. Owner is very friendly!
