The Posh Plaice - Reigate and Banstead

Freshly cooked fish and chips, eaten in restaurant area. Delicious and beautifully served. Great service, friendly staff, good value for money.

Walked in without a mask, one step through the door and was literally screamed at by a member of staff. I am exempt from the mask rule due to personal conditions, however was too frightened to say anything. Having quickly given my order I had to stand there and listen to further remarks about people standing outside the shop. Very dissapointed by the complete lack of patience and utter rudeness displayed.

Lovely food here ads always i tried the battered salmon and it was lovely, couldnt eat it all, they have a nice menu, parking isnt always easy here but you can get around that,service is good here and well worth a visit

Overall the place is pretty good and the staff engaging but the chips for take away have dropped in quality a bit. Instead of a consistent 1 cm square type chip you get a lot of much thinner, and mostly dried out, type chips so a lot are wasted. Fish has generally been very good except sometimes you feel it's been cooked a bit longer than needed.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times in the past because the food is decent, but the service is lacking. The person who takes the orders never smiles and seems very unfriendly. The last straw for me was when he informed me that they only accept cash and not cards. I find it frustrating that they don't accept cards, especially since restaurants have not been severely impacted by COVID.
