As I later found out chatting with the owner they had just come out with a new menu. There were a large number of burger selections with many different toppings and seasonings. Burger prices ranged in the $6-9 range with fries. There was a wide selection of entrees with a few at $9.99 and more in the mid-teen dollars range. Not being terribly hungry and wanting to keep my bill under $10 I ordered the 2 piece broasted chicken(white) with fries(JoJo potatoes also available) and a biscuit. The service was friendly and attentive and my food arrived reasonably fast. However it was a quiet night in the place as most of the locals were at the high school basketball game. The chicken had a light unseasoned breading and was tender and juicy inside. The fries were battered and seasoned. The fries were quite good and the tastiest part of the meal I prefer my broasted chicken with more breading and plenty of seasoning as the crunchy seasoned batter on the outside is one of the best parts. The biscuit was a bit tough like it had been overheated in a microwave. A couple of other diners were in the bar and had ordered spaghetti and a shrimp pasta dish and seemed satisfied. The cook came out and asked them how they liked their meals as they were part of the new menu and he wanted to know if they liked them and if any tweaking was necessary. The lady that had the shrimp pasta commented that it could have used more garlic. But showed that her plate was empty to indicate that she was satisfied. The owner was in and out of the bar and chatted with myself and the other customers. He said that he had been there for three years. Overall I had a good dining experience. The friendly service made up for the average chicken. I would definately dine here again and would like to try one of the burgers.
