Snack Shack - Renfro Valley

Snack shack is a great place to eat hang out with the locals the food is the best if you can think of it they probably have it. Good people,friendly Mount Vernon folk.

Ask for the fresh ground burger. You won't be disappointed.

I have been stopping by the back shack for over 40 years.I love the style on the inside.We used to cruise Mount Vernon when we were kids the town would basically be a line from Napa parking lot to the other end.Waving at friends getting girls and listening to something on 98.1 WKQQ LEXINGTON radio station and blasting it out the window.We would stop by the SNACK SHACK for shakes.Mount Vernon is home to the Rockcastle County Rockets.Go Rockets! Parking: They have about 10 spots and more across the street

Food is usually spot on, but I tried the new mushroom swiss burger. Definitely a big mistake. The gravy was gloppy like paste and the burger was overcooked so badly that it was hard Parking: Better to park on the side of the restaurant. So much easier and safer to get out

This is a small family style place to eat the food is great at a good price. There's always some local folks here because they know it's one of the best places for food in town.
