Contribuisci feedbackIt is with much sadness that I find myself writing this review. I know how hard the hospitality industry has had it over the last few years, but a very disappointing experience. Food was less than ordinary. I will not recommend to anyone nor will I coming back. When I spoke to staff about how poor I thought the food was I was offered a replacement, no I don’t want a replacement I want food that doesn’t taste like cardboard. Staff not friendly, service with a smile is not given here. Do better Renmark Club!
Great food, great view and great service. Good selection of choices in food and a lovely salad bar. Would visit again.
The club was very busy, in the dining area and the bar, but our meals came very quickly. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. Our desserts were yummy and my hubby's flat white was perfect. One thing we've found up here in the Riverland is that the baristas all know how to make a decent flat white. (Unlike most places in Adelaide, where we live! All the staff we had contact with tonight were friendly and cheerful. If we visited the Riverland on a regular basis, we would have become members on the spot super value for just $15. Highly recommended to other holiday makers and locals, too.
We had two good options for a meal last year. This year none. Our choice for a plant based (vegan) meal was a salad or a pizza. Pizza is not a dinner meal to us. The salad would have been fine if it had included some legumes. Last year, we had a vegan bowl which was well presented and thought out. We felt like we'd eaten a dinner meal. Which is why we returned to eat there. We have never eaten Caesar salads which was the offering and I wouldn't start now with a vegan one especially as lettuce leaves aren't a meal. Who ever ate a Caesar salad for a dinner meal anyhow? The reason was that they change the menu regularly. Well I'l have been very happy to try something different something that was an actual dinner meal! On the whole, the Riverland, with respect, is somewhat out of touch with today's tastes and preferences in cuisine and it feels, to a visitor from Adelaide, as if they just don't care enough about visitors. This feedback could apply, equally, to the Berri Hotel and the Loxton. The Loxton didn't bother to tell us about their limited menu due to renovations when I phoned and booked. They hadn't bothered to pop a mention of it on their website in regard to their online menu we went from Renmark to Loxton to the Hotel for the Asian Salad with Tofu. There was nothing for those on a plant based diet. Do we visit again? Well, if we can be bothered bringing our own food and finding somewhere to stay that has cooking facilities. That wasn't the holiday we planned. So, it won't be good for hotel accommodation business. But, I guess it's only vegans and people who are over the same old meals steaks, pizza, risotto and deep friend chicken and seafood and chips , and chicken nuggets deep friend again for the kids etc who need to find alternatives to the Riverland. Signed: Somewhat hungry.
The Club is a great place to catch up with family and friends. They serve meals and great coffee. Spectacular views of the river. Then great area to start a walk along the river front lawns. Close to the Imformation centre for the riverland attractions.
