Several visits to this bagel shop and it really is hit or miss (mostly miss) Staff are not friendly and not to eager to please. Served cold, stale potato wedges and had to ask twice before they would replace them (under much duress, I might add). The server was then seen serving my cold food to another client! Shocking. Hope to see an improvement next time or we won't be coming back.
Many French establishments treat bagels as if they are sandwiches. You can get some good bagels that way, but you will need to pay for the sandwich which can be expensive. If you want a sandwich, then that's great. But I grew up loving to have bagels plain. They make a good snack in the car or you can put a little peanut butter on them at breakfast. So I was happy to stop at Bruegger's in Rennes, France to get a half dozen bagels. They cost about 1 euro each, which is not too much more than many bagel places in the U.S. these days. The bagels tasted just like the Bruegger's in the U.S., plus it was fun to walk around the nice mall they were located in. There is also a large Carrefour store at the end of the mall, which is handy if you are vegetarian and want to have other items to go with your bagels for a snack or meal.
The building is too old to charge so much for rentMultiple people I know in the building have had major plumbing issues in their room requiring work.
I spent my first night in my new apartment, yay!__The building is a mix of college students from Creighton University and non students.
