Already when we return the decor is great and we really feel in a geek setting, pieces of Japanese culture, through full of decoration details. Food is very good and you feel it is prepared with love! I was very happy to taste my kara-age accompanied by their mayonnaise. What I find most attractive and dazzling is the cohesion between the image that the restaurant transmits and the flavor of the dishes. I personally found that flavors are very different from traditional Japanese restaurants. We really find a European leg in the dishes. Even through service, we feel the European side. It's the first time I ate a ramen with carrots and smoked chest! The taste of the broth was also very imposing with its strong taste of ginger, where flavors in Japanese restaurants are a little softer. I was surprised to see that the person who was there to serve us today was alone to manage the reception of guests, the takeover and the kitchen. Despite the service a little long, I found it very busy with each customer, taking the time to greet each one, explain the operation of the restaurant, talk about the dishes of the week and take the order. For a person who manages a room of about ten people, we were all served within 30 minutes of the order, I say respect. In short, it is a large small restaurant where the setting is as pleasant as food and service. I recommend for Japanese cuisine lovers, but with more Western flavors. It is another approach to Japanese cuisine that I highly appreciate. Big plus? Each dish has its vegan version, which is rare in Japanese restaurants. Of course, don't rush. Take the time to observe and savour:
Typical Japanese dishes and delicious! Special mention to the Nothinga Vegan and his broth. The master of the place is a real fan of Japanese culture and is checked in the plate.
The best Japanese restaurant in Rennes. The leader knows his subject on the fingertips and offers you a map that is certainly limited, but quality gage that changes very regularly!
A memorable experience! First of all a warm welcome, as good as tasty dishes that take you to the country of the rising sun. Vegetarian and vegetarian dishes are on the menu and are excellent. The kind of restaurant that doesn't pay a mine and that turns out to be a real surprise. The prices are more than honest (4€ the entrance, 10€ the dish) and the map evolves all the time.
The menu changes every week and the dish is homemade. Nice and correct price.
