Well priced food with great options and a friendly vibe tied to it. Serves breakfast all day from 7-2pm and has good beverages to chose from. Everything about this place screams family dinner with plates being below $15 while loaded with food. 100% recommend anyone to come here alone or family.
Stopped here on our way out of town headed back to Oregon and WOW! Amazing food, great service and quick too! I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and husband had the California Omlet and it was definitely delicious! Highly recommend if you're in the area! One of the best meals we had on our trip
We are new to the Reno area and are exploring breakfast places. Hometown Cafe came up in a Google search and decided to try it out. Located in North Reno on Lemmon Drive, it isn 't hard to find. It is just a bit out of the way. The interior is a bit dated but clean. It has a old time vibe. The staff is right on the spot bussing tables and the service staff is efficient in drink and food orders. The menu is quite extensive. All of the classics are present plus a bunch of south-of-the- border selections. The wife choose a California omelet which is a spinach, bacon, mushroom and cheese creation. I had a chicken fried steak. The California omelet was larger than average with an abundant amount of fresh veggies. The wife reports that taste and texture were very good. The chicken fried steak appeared to be house made. The meat itself had the texture of a 'cubed steak ' (tenderized beef) that you can buy at the supermarket. The gravy was a little on the bland side but it was better than being salty or have an uncooked flour taste. Overall a damn good meal. Overall a very good breakfast place.
We are new to the Reno area and are searching for breakfast places. So after a Google search we found the Home Town Cafe. We decided to try it. We arrived just after 10:00 am. The restaurant was just clearing out and we got a table right away. The interior is a bit dated but clean. Kind of like the neighborhood joints I went to as a child. The servers are efficient. Food and drinks are delivered timely. The tables were bussed immediately and then disinfected. The service is excellent. The meat tasted and had the texture of a 'cubed beef ' (tenderized beef) you can buy at the supermarket. The gravy was a bit on the bland side but way better than salty or having a raw flour taste. It was still a damn good meal. Overall a good breakfast restaurant.
