Johnny's Italiano - Reno

I absolutely love their food! This restaurant has been a staple for a very good reason. I would highly recommend Johnny's to anyone seeking a fantastic dining experience!

If you love Italian cuisine, this restaurant comes highly recommended. Be sure to make a reservation, as it tends to get quite crowded. The staff is very courteous, and the service is prompt and efficient. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. The calamari could have been a bit better, but it was still enjoyable. Johnny's breadsticks are exceptional; we ended up taking the leftovers home! The marinara sauce is delicious and has a nice kick to it. This is an excellent choice for a date night or a special occasion dinner.

After reading the reviews and seeing that it was voted the best Italian restaurant in Reno, we finally decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the food. We all felt it lacked flavor. I realize that I come from a large East Coast Sicilian family, so I might be particular about Italian cuisine, but this just wasn't what I expected. However, I encourage others to give it a shot, as experiences may vary according to the reviews. This is just my opinion, and I personally feel that La Strada at the El Dorado Casino is better. On a positive note, the prices and service were quite good.

Went to this restaurant a few days ago while up in Tahoe. It’s another restaurant that we always go to. The food is always fabulous! Glad we made reservations because it was very busy. Service was good too.

This is the best Italian I've had in Reno. Simply incredible.
