Oceano - Reno

It's my birthday weekend, so we decided to spend some time in Reno, Nevada. This restaurant really impressed me with the sophistication and elegance of every dish. The appetizer we had was a delightful start to our meal. The cocktails were straightforward yet strong, which I appreciated. I was particularly blown away by the freshness of the tuna nigiri. My favorite main course was the ginger salmon served with vegetables. Our server was incredibly friendly; when I mentioned that we had just driven in from Louisiana and that it was my husband's birthday the following day, she surprised us with a small dessert and a big smile. I thought it was truly special how attentive she was to our needs.

Oceano's could be the best seafood theme restaurant in Reno area. From sushi rolls to seafood, salmon fish n chips are all compiled from their delicious Clam Chowder. Steak and Burger are also served. Weekday Lunch Specials from $18-$24 reservations strongly suggested for lunch and dinner. Wait can be 1/2 hours. Be ready for additional waiting time when ordering sushi rolls. You are prepared by hand and depending on how Diner ordered you can wait. Enjoy the video cinema projections on the large screens on adjacent walls. Restaurant is easily accessible on street level within the North Entrance of Peppermill Resort.

Everything from start to finish was amazing! Starting with the bread: so fresh and hot! Then my bf had a rib eye steak with lobster tail and I had lobster tail and clam chowder and it was sooo good and everything tasted so fresh and buttery! Highly recommend this place!

For my first time coming to the Oceano, I just got to say it is spectacular from the atmosphere to the food!!! My family and I had our reservation all set which I highly recommend doing. Walking in might take a little bit longer to be seated but if you don?t mind the wait, it is well worth it. We were seated quickly, our drinks and orders were all taken down in a great timely manner and our server was very friendly, took care of us well and his customer service was just fantastic. I went in for the ?All You Can Eat? sushi and it was beyond what I expected. Very delicious, tasty, the presentations of the sushi was excellent. I only had one issue and it was how long they took to get your sushi orders back to you. The wait was very long in between sushi order to the point where our waiter felt so bad, he comped my family and I free dessert and also comped me a free drink which was very kind of him to do. Thank you very much!!! It was very appreciated. Beside that, I definitely recommend the Oceano and can not wait to go back to try out some more sushi or maybe even an entree.

This is hands down my favorite place to eat! Always a massive treat! Sushi is perfect, service is quick, staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is awesome!! I personally always go with the sushi here but the other dishes appear amazing also! HIGHLY recommend!!
