Hollandaise sauce was thin and tasted of nothing but butter, and was sparingly used to the point of only half each benedict having any. Two entrees with salmon, maybe 1 oz of crumbled salmon on each, had to scrape it together like eating rice. Every dish with poached eggs had lost almost all their whites, leaving almost nothing but yolk. Potatoes were extremely salty. Short staffed, but attentive for the occupancy level.
One customer's order was incorrect, but overall the food was delicious! The service was attentive and great.
The food was decent, but not very impressive. The prices were affordable, and the service was just okay. My waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed and it took a while for me to get the check. I had to ask another server for it because my waiter never came back to check on me. Overall, I was not impressed and will not be returning.
The food at this restaurant is good, but the service is slow and lacking. I have dined here before attending shows at the Pioneer Center multiple times, and always make sure to allow enough time. However, it is frustrating when I have to chase down the server for something like a Coke refill. I have food allergies and always inform the staff when I order, but tonight my dessert came with the fruit I'm allergic to prominently displayed on the plate after a 20-25 minute wait. They took it back, only to then inform us that they were out of the bread pudding. We ended up leaving due to time constraints, but I was insulted by their casual attitude. They will no longer be one of my top choices for downtown dining.
Old Granite Street Eatery turned out to be a fantastic happy hour find on my way to the airport. My friend savored a Brewer’s Cabinet Tahoe Amber, while I enjoyed a creamsicle martini. But the real highlight? The delicious grilled smoked knockwurst, bockwurst, kasekrainer with emmentaler cheese, sauerkraut, whole grain mustard, cornichons, and pretzel bite with a house made beer cheese!
