Our server's name was Lia. She was very attentive, made us feel welcome, and took the time to get to know us. She made our experience very enjoyable.
Brianna was a wonderfully happy server and Ethan was an equally professional busser. One entree too salty, other needing salt. Overall will come back and experience again.
The hostess and Mikey were very attentive. They both read my notes I made at the time of making my reservation after a 6 year hiatus I was coming back to enjoy a scallops risotto and a glass of Viognier. Keith, my server, was nice. I told him I spoke with the sommelier (Mike) via phone a few days earlier. Mike said to ask for him when I arrived at the restaurant to have my meal paired as they no longer carried my favorite Viognier (Twisted Oak). Keith did get Mike to come and talk to me which I greatly appreciated. Mike was happy to hear I ordered a risotto, one of his two favorite dishes he told me, but he really didn't engage in a conversation about the wines. and I felt like an afterthought. Keith suggested light whites. I said I wouldn't mind having a red Pinot included in my flight. I told Keith to let Mike (the sommelier) surprise me in hopes of getting a special pairing. The wine came very quickly. Keith named the wines, “Fume, Viognier and Riesling” I don't like Riesling and would have much preferred a light pinot. I didn't feel heard. What happened next is why I will not be returning to the restaurant. The sommelier stopped by my table and asked about the wine they gave me. What??? I came to this restaurant because it has a sommelier. He clearly did not participate in selecting the wines. He also assumed Chardonnay was included in my flight which I would have preferred over Riesling. The manager never stopped by my table to ask if I enjoyed my meal though she went by my table more than once. I know everyone tried but overall the restaurant failed to provide a memorable experience. The risotto was delicious though rice is NOT cooked to order for those of you who are looking for the nutty flavor. I know it takes 40 minutes to make a good one because I went to authentic Italian restaurants. Despite of this, I still would recommend this dish for the overall flavor profile it is delicious.
Primary reason for the rating is that the menu in the restaurant was different than what is posted on line or OpenTable. As it turned out, neither of the dishes (both favorites) that prompted me to make the reservation were on the menu, so the evening started in a hole. The server was apologetic, but no management came by to apologize. The dishes ordered were good and the server was attentive, so no complaints at all there. Won't be going back without calling first, however.
