Despite having to sit outside due to limited space, we enjoyed the view of the park and basked in the warm afternoon sun. The only drawback was that we had to lean over our scones to place our order and pay.
The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. There are a lot of choices on the menu, including home-cooked meals and sandwiches. The coffee and tea options are fantastic. My son and I enjoy the music as well. It's always a delightful experience.
We rocked up thinking it would be one of those new modern melbourne cafes but were surprised when it was just a small little family cafe. We were pretty keen on a decent coffee and the standard smashed avocado you need a first home buyers grant to pay for, but we gave it a shot anyway. Coffee was mad, like, it touched my soul. It might’ve been the grogginess of my morning being lifted away when the magic caffeine potion touched my lips. The smashed avocado was awesome, the avo was fresh, the tomatoes were nice, the vinegar wasn’t overpowering, the eggs were poached masterfully, and the extra salmon didn’t have that ugly taste some places have, it was actually decent. Very nice place, good workers, nice quiet spot. You should deffs suss this place out for some good brekky or coffee.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I ordered the avocado and feta smash, which consisted of perfectly poached eggs on a bed of mashed avocado, crumbled feta cheese, diced Spanish onion, and tomato, all on top of two slices of toast drizzled with balsamic. It was absolutely delicious and heavenly.
Love the coffee and quaint cafe here. Frequently there catching up with friends. The staff are fantastic and take the time to greet you and chat with you. Love this little cafe..
