Excellent.I’ve lived in Korea when in the military and loved the fried chicken over there. This place does a great job of capturing that experience stateside.
Probably the worst customer experience I have ever had at a restaurant. This is the first time I came to this place. We come in and the cashier greets us, or the lack thereof, extremely coldly. I asked questions about the menu and she only provided short answers impatiently, clearly showing that she didn 't want us there. I read other customer reviews about similar experiences, and the simple response from the business owner that they are sorry and will train their staff better. Clearly nothing has been done about that. In addition to that, they have options for the small 8pc, the medium 16pc, and the large 24pc chicken wings. Me and my friends wanted to get the large option so that we could save a couple of dollars per person, but they don 't allow getting the multiple flavors for a large option. Every other Korean fried chicken place I 've been to does that, and I was extremely surprised by this policy here. Not sure why they would even have that option and not allow people to choose different flavors, seems like a horrible and inflexible quantity discount concept to me. I opt with the three small options so that I can get my three different flavors and pay a couple more dollars. Then they charge me what 's different on the menu. The menu stated 13 dollars and they charge me 14, in which I ask why. The lady simply responds with, Oh the price changed . If the price changed, then reflect that on the menu, customers should not be surprised with the prices they are paying like it 's a Russian Roulette game. In fact, if you go to any retail store and it 's labeled a cheaper price than what the item actually is, you will always be given the cheaper price because of the retailers mistake. Really interesting that they don 't even make an effort to change the menu and could care less about customer satisfaction. All in all, would have to say that I do not recommend this place and I would never be coming back again.
Finally got to try bb.q chicken. The interior is small, only about five tables and the order counter. The service was friendly, and my order took about ten minutes to be ready, and came out piping hot. I went with an order if Gangnam style wings and a side of rice. The wings were quite good- well seasoned with a good spice level, tons of flavor. Rice is always a good side to these, and was a good sized portion. It's a good addition to the Reston food options. I will definitely go back to try some of the other flavors!
Please don't pay attention the the 3 stars rating- we didn't eat there. However, this Thursday evening, April 28th, I was with my two daughters and we thought we would give the place a try. We walked in to an empty restaurant (not an issue) and headed for the service counter. I explained this was our first time there, and we just got a blank look from the woman behind the counter- no explanations, recommendations, etc. I asked a couple of questions but got only short answers. The long and short of it- she didn't want us there and could hardly have been less welcoming. I made excuses and we left- we had a decent meal With friendly service at nearby Glory Days. This place had better turn around quickly...
