However, having checked out the 4 restaurants on this strip and their menus, we decided to try Le Malloury and were not disappointed. Ice cold draught beer, and ice water on table replenished before finished without having to ask. We took a 3 course menu €17) and extra main course salad with assorted croquetas and serrano ham. Food was excellent: generous portions with quality ingredients. Prices were acceptable for the location: sensibly priced house wine helped to keep the total down. Only small negative was the time taken to place our food order although the beer was on the table within 2 minutes of being seated). Really not enough servers with a full terrace...willing but run off their feet delivering drinks orders.
This has to be one of the worst meals I have had in France To start with the good points The setting is very attractive sitting under the trees And it continues serving after 2.00pm But there it ends We sat for over 40 minutes before our order was taken We observed during this wait 2 separate diners sending their food back and one diner being asked to find something different on the menu to what she had ordered She subsequently left most of her meal and I overheard the waitress apologising to her We should have walked out at that point however it all looked so pleasant Eventually our order was taken And to be fair to the staff they were working flat out and were very pleasant and apologetic So after sixty five minutes from being seated our meal arrived Steak, frites and green salad The steak was so tough it could have been used as shoe leather the chips were cold so all was left that was edible was the green lettuice We then observed yet another two plates of food sent back for reheating The young waitress was very polite and apologetic I've lived in France for several years eat out on a regular basis AND this is the first time I've ever written a bad review There have been times now and then when I've been disappointed in a restaurant That's normal But to wait for so long and then be served such dreadful food Take my advise if you want a good plate of food don't eat here
Very very average for a menu at 28€, the Far Breton concrete and tasteless, and make an effort on the bland salad, it looks bad on the plate... I should have read the comments before... Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
