Finding good Mexican food in Boston can be a challenge, especially when it comes to authenticity. However, this place serves fantastic dishes at reasonable prices, and the drinks are straightforward and well-crafted. The atmosphere has a cantina vibe, which may feel a bit intimidating in its simplicity for some Americans, but it's always worth the visit.

The carnitas tacos were incredible! They truly had an authentic carnitas flavor.

This restaurant is not the best place for a good atmosphere. The leadership is lacking, and the waitstaff could use some improvement. I was asked to get up after a new party arrived, even though I was already at an open table and actively spending money on drinks and food. I even offered to order a bottle or request VIP service, but they turned me down. As a first-time guest, I felt unappreciated and undervalued, despite my readiness to spend. The security, management, and waitstaff were quite rude and even threatened to kick me out if I didn't move, even though it was just two people arriving at a four-person table. If I owned this place, I would prioritize accommodating new customers much better than this. They clearly don’t care, don’t listen, and you won’t have a high-end experience here.

Every establishment has the right to refuse service to anyone, which is understandable in cases of misconduct. However, it’s disappointing that the owner assumed my group and I were intoxicated. We entered calmly, without being loud, disrespectful, or obnoxious—certainly not drunk. When we greeted our friends already at the restaurant, we were immediately told we would not be served. Instead of making a judgment call, they could have simply asked us a few questions. Because of this snap judgment, we were denied service. I wouldn't recommend this place due to the unwelcoming atmosphere. They should inquire before making assumptions, just as I mentioned to the waitress. The waitress wasn’t at fault for the owner’s decision in this situation.
