We arrived late after travelling when everywhere else was closed and were worrying about going to bed hungry. The highlight was snails Catalan style (very) many small snails in a vegetable...broth not the garlic and butter six snails I was expecting
Pretty basic, new Parisien owner trying To keep Catalan as the kitchen style not much Succes
We liked the food, the service and the owners who were very generous with their advice, as some of us did not know what some of the dishes were. At no time did they recommend the most expensive, but rather the most likely to suit...our likes and dislikes.
Pound for pound the best value meal I have eaten in years. The wild boar casserole was to die for and followed two starters one of which was a wonderful rabbit terrine! Rounded off with a pear in wine and spice marinade that was delightful....The only pity is that I live too far away to make it a regular pit stop. Don't be put off by the decor it is what it is a local restaurant that survives on its food not its decor.
If you are looking for a down to earth local experience then this will suit. A quirky little restaurant that serves a good choice of authentic local dishes. Good value for money.
