El Portal - Reynoldsburg

This is one of our top favorite restaurants! We make it a point to stop in at least once a week for dine in or takeout. They have the best chile relleno, enchiladas, tamales, churros, cazuelon, and red sauce that we?ve ever had. We can?t recommend ElPortal enough!

Be very careful how you order here as they tried to rip us off. We entered the restaurant right when they opened the doors . When you walk in there's a sigh if you order off the lunch menu your second meal is half off. There were for of us and weordered fajitas 3 chicken one beef clearly off the lunch menu. Well we get our bill and it's 90+ . At this point the owner hadarrived and was of no help he dropped 15 off the bill. The food was decent but there is no excuse for letting that go.

One star because I cannot leave zero stars. Sorry, service was ok, food was horrible. Our receipt just had random amounts and didn't list the menu items beside the prices. One item was $14.95 ge tried to say that was Churros which was only $3 on themenu. We got 4 4inch churros definitely not worth $15. Our check was $95 for 2 adults and 2 kids. My meal as an adult was$10.95 so I am not really sure how we spent that much. Combo 10.95 Chimmichanga $15 Kids meal $5 Kids meal $5 Cheese $4 Margarita $12 Margarita $12 Beer $3 Beer $3 Churros $3 Written in amount, Additional $14 (asked if this wasgratuity and he said no)? Tax $5.50 Total $92.45 Server added gratuity and trying to get an extra tip, not cool at all.

15 adults 3 children. Amazing service, kind and generous staff. Meals were out swiftly after ordering for such a large group. Impeccable service. Loved the margaritas, food was amazing well cooked. Group arrived around 6:30 food ordered by 7:00 aftermargaritas and drinks were served. Dessert served by 7:50. Just incredible.

Good food with nice and calm interior. We happen to go for dinner on week day. It is a decent and clean place. If you are looking for good tasty Mexican food than this is the spot. Fondue with shrimp and mushroom in the appetizer was amazinglydelicious. The main course in seafood which we ordered came with grilled scallops and shrimp over the bed of rice was delicious.The dish had generous amount of scallops and shrimps in it. Their home made nacho chips came warm and fresh. The place need alittle more bright light and the bar place to be lit up as well. Overall very nice place to come to eat with family andchildren.
