Terrapin - Rhinebeck

I don't get why people like this place so much. Maybe restaurant has better cooks (we ate at bistro), but when we went to have lunch, the food was a big letdown. The fish and chips had undercooked butter, and the eggplant sandwich was too greasy and tasted bland. To make matters worse, the place looked shabby, with peeling paint and an overall sense of neglect. Don't be fooled by the good reviews and the nice exterior. You can find better food for less money elsewhere. Yes, this place is not great, and it's pricey.

We ate in the Bistro and loved the atmosphere. The sliced steak sandwich was amazing! We absolutely loved building our own with our favorite toppings. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly and we loved the buffalo hot sauce.
