I have been here before, and I appreciate that they are easy to get to from the National Forest, but they have so much more potential. All in all, probably safe to eat here if you are hungry, but not what I would recommend over alternatives.
The restaurant seems to be in need of a remodel, and while the bathroom was surprisingly nice, the dining experience was fantastic. Our server was incredibly helpful and had a wonderful sense of humor. I really enjoyed my BLTA, the burger was excellent, and the soup of the day, chicken noodle, was delicious.
After that, we opted for milkshakes since we had already settled down. I completely regretted that decision. They were overpriced and disgusting. I don’t even think they used real milk; it was watery, bubbly, and unpleasant. It tasted like it had artificial flavoring, which certainly wasn’t worth $11.50 for two. I felt sick after just one sip and wouldn’t even give it to my dog. I can only imagine how bad the food must be. If you’re considering stopping here, do yourself a favor and drive a bit further. The snacks and customer service at the Chevron station down the road are 100% better.
This is the perfect spot to grab a bite after a day at the ski bowl. The sandwiches are incredible! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, truly reminiscent of a quaint small-town diner. This place is definitely a hidden gem!
Great food, great prices and the service is great.
