Food looks lovely but was told they can't accommodate wheelchair users so we couldn't eat there. Such a shame.
The Glan, as it's known locally, recently underwent a complete refurbishment and makeover. It has reopened under new management and a new chef, and I must say, the Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious. They accommodated my request for plenty of vegetables and served real homemade gravy. I can't find a single fault with it. In truth, I was hesitant to leave a review because I fear it may become so popular that getting a table in the future could be difficult. However, the chef, staff, and management all deserve congratulations for a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday afternoon. I will definitely be returning soon.
Took my elderly mother and Aunt for lunch.First thing they noticed tables laid with crisp white table cloths and a very warm welcome. Prawn starter was enjoyed as was the soup. Main course beef ,pork and turkey dinners ordered and all were well presented hot and very edible. As the lunch time progressed it became quite busy. This is obviously a new venture and the new owner was very pleasant and keen to please. I think it will improve further as he and his staff gain more experience.
Was looking forward to visiting again after hearing it had re-opened! However, the service was poor, considering we were the only people there and the food was average!! They only had 1 dessert available which wasn’t even on the menu!!! Apparently the freezer had broken down! The card machine wasn’t working so had to hunt for a cash machine in the local area! It was annoying that we weren’t told this on booking as reading other reviews since, this has been an issue for some time! Won’t be returning.
