Absalutely gorgous lamb dinner in the Pick and shovel ...piping hot , fresh veg and the gravy was lush ...great value for a tenner ! cheers Helen Kettle /the chef ....took my Fathers pepper cellar i swipped off his table when he passed away to use on my dinner today , very apt.

10/10 spectacular pub, the new owners are absolutely delightful along with all the staff. They have ripped it apart and redecorated it and brought life to it. Even including a menu of delicious delights to pick from! Highly recommend and great prices.

I have a takeaway meal everyday from here because the food is so good and great value. I feel well looked after when I’m there as the staff are welcoming and the pub has a friendly atmosphere, and I’m well fed! Great variety on the menu so plenty of choice.
