However, in recent times the chips lose a star in the overall rating because they are now a kind of artificially bright yellow, perhaps indicating a lower grade cooking medium and the taste and texture are not great either. (Flowery, and hard but not crisp outside. If they were up to scratch, then 5 stars would be deserved.
Came here from Melbourne with the little food critic and the fussy boss (wife) and googled a place for lunch. The most amazing fish and chips. We had a whole King Dory. Came with enough food for 2 people. Quality and quantity both great. The best fish and chips I had in a while!
New favourite fish and chips! Partner and I had takeaway recently and were thrilled by the quality of grilled and battered fish. Chippies were also delicious and the service was really lovely. Highly recommend!
One of the more well known seafood places on Philip Island and recommended by friends who had visited. After a day trip around various popular places, we stopped by for late lunch. Good choices to choose from the menu. Covid safe plan is upheld. Parking is easy. See photos taken of the outside and interior which reflects the fishing theme. Fresh sardine bites and fish chips. Prawn not so great.
The best fish and chips on the island. You won’t be disappointed and definitely the best Potato cakes ever!!!!!
