Chris's Place - Rice

Came to town for the Regional Powerlifting meet and tried this place out. OUTSTANDING FOOD and service!! if you like down home cooking, this is your place!! We always like to try local places and glad we chose Chris’s Cafe. I had fried fish, pinto beans and slaw my husband had the BLT, all was great!! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

In Corsicana area, stopped by to try food, ordered hamburgers fries, burgers were good freshly made.Will return to try other homemade foods.

WOW! I'm Mid 50s travel the state a LOT like 15k miles a month and eat all over Texas. This is a magical place. When the cook/owner Chris greets you with a huge smile and makes suggestions on the menu it's a unique experience. When you hear him whistling while he is cooking you know your food is made with love. I got the catfish which was INCREDIBLE! I also had the cornbread which quite frankly I may just order a pan of it next time as it was the BEST I have ever had as well and the beans were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning not too little and not too much. Last but not least the homemade tartar sauce was great as well. I will definitely be coming here as often as I can. Also the interior is absolutely clean clean clean and new ...it was clean like a hospital clean. Don't pass this place.
