Rockefeller was our least favorite. It had a LOT of bread crumbs along with spinach on top of the oysters which wasn't as good as it looked. Overall, I was super satisfied with the quality and value of the seafood here!
Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon at around 12pm. The place was virtually empty with only one table occupied. The front person was very sweet (hence the 3 stars). Upon seating, we immediately was served water and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We ordered the chargrilled oysters, soft shell crab tacos and seafood vodka. The oysters were the highlight of the entire meal and it quickly went downhill from there. The oysters came out steaming hot and delicious. It was very buttery and oily so beware of ordering too many. The soft shell crab tacos were the worst. The breading was overly thick and the rice was flavorless. We had to take some of the breading off the crab. Flavoring of the tacos were bland and dry. Super overpriced IMO. Didnt even eat the rice and didn't to go it either. The seafood vodka was okay. The dish came out a but dry and would have been better with a bit more sauce. Instead of keeping the shells on the mussels and plating it in the dish, it should just come with the mussels off the shell. It got annoying to have to use my fingers to picked the mussels off. Overall, the 3 stars are for the front/waitress girl and the oysters. I would not come back for the food.
Chelle-O! Upon walking in, me and my group of 3 others were immediately greeted with smiles by servers Charlie and Michelle. Today, we sat at the bar where Dominique served us. She was full of energy and super nice and prompt. She was very quick to fill up our drinks without us needing to ask. Completed dishes were taken away in a timely manner, and she ensured we were well taken care of during our dinner. She has a good knowledge of the menu and was able to elaborately describe the different pastas to me to make sure I ordered something to my liking. Bar is open seating, and we were able to grab a spot in the middle, in front of the two TVs which was showing the games. There are three other TVs throughout the restaurant, in the dining area, so this is a great spot to come watch your favorite sport games. Be sure to ask for Charlie or Michelle as they'll give you some great recommendations on what to try on the new menu. Charlie has such a great attitude and is very kind. I tried both the Garlic Noodles with chicken and Alfredo Pasta with chicken today. The Garlic Noodles tasted better in my opinion but both were tasty and flavorful. The chicken is well cooked and a good amount comes in the dish. Highly recommend trying either one. We don't get the State Fair year round, so here's your chance to order some Funnel Sticks, a great kick for dessert! Overall, great and very chill environment. The place will get live on game nights, so be sure to get there early to secure a seat.
First time here. Won't be coming back. They only had 1 paper menu and it was filthy. Had the garlic noodles. The top layer was cold and way too sweet for my liking. Ordered a side of sausage, corn and potatoes tasted like slightly seasoned seafood water. Hard pass
First time eating at Chelles it was fabulous! You can see taste the love she adds to all of her dishes. Menu has a variety of options and a full bar. The owner came out of her way to speak with us being first time customers and making us feel right at home. Service was on point to. The ambiance is fantastic. It’s family friendly but also a great spot to have a bite, grab a drink at the bar and watch a game. They have a backdrop wall which is perfect for pictures. Overall experience a 10/10! Will be back for sure. We ordered the chargrilled oysters which were AMAZING, they even go the extra mile by giving you bread to soak up all those wonderful juices leftover from the oyster. My husband had a burger fries. The burger ??you could squeeze the juice out of it, it was cooked to perfection. I had chicken wings which were bomb a crab poutine. Being Canadian myself I was intrigued by this menu option, although it is not a traditional poutine it was fantastic. A cheesy garlicky gravy topped with cheese crab meat, YUM!!
