Picked Edith's to stop at while hunting Pokemon. The restaurant was clean and spacious, and the staff attentive. Unfortunately, due to various issues several menu items were unavailable (including pastrys as a whole) so I got a French Dip. The sandwich was well made, bread wonderfully flaky and absorbent. They were out of the usual soup that pairs with it, but as French Onion Soup is actually my favorite it didn't bother me at all to sub it in. Also, the fries were fantastic. My favorite place to sate a frie craving used to be Wendy's, but since they changed their recipe that is no longer the case. Edith's fries remind of that old Wendy's flavor but more. More potatoe, more pepper, just more.I will likely stop in again next month after they've had some more time to train staff refresh their supplies. Still want to try pastries.
I can't review the food because the service was non existent. We went in around 12:30 pm expecting a crowd. Not another customer in sight. The waitress brought water and menus then walked away. Again, not another customer is sight, yet we waited and waited and even tried to wave someone down with no luck. So we walked out without even giving an order. On the way out I spoke over my shoulder that we waited too long for service. No one even tried to incentivize us to stick around. There are too many good restaurants around to be the only customers within and still be ignored!
We had an Employee Appreciation Lunch for 20 people and it was awesome! The food was delicious and the service was great! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and we will definitely be back.
The menu looked good and the pictures looked amazing, so we thought we'd try it out. The two of us came in for brunch today at 12:15 pm and waited for about five minutes before anyone working there acknowledged us. There were only three tables occupied, but we were told that the rest were reserved for other people. I was surprised that the two working there noticed us, but never said anything to us until we had been standing there, uncomfortably for five minutes. Since we were denied a table, we walked across the street to the competition for mimosas and brunch. After brunch, we passed Edith's again and noticed that most of the restaurant was still very empty. I find it baffling that someone would turn away new patrons so quickly. It's a shame.
