This made it impossible for our group to communicate, except for those sitting next to each other. We were initially seated at a table in the middle, with no privacy, but they later moved us to a more secluded corner. The food was late and cold, not meeting our expectations in terms of flavor. To make matters worse, they even turned off the lights while we were still eating. Our waiter seemed unaware of the lunch menu offer. To add insult to injury, weeks later, we discovered that our photos were being used to promote unrelated events. Despite our love for local and Latin restaurants, I will not be returning to this establishment. The manager was dishonest and made multiple excuses for their mistakes. A simple text or call to cancel our reservation would have been preferable to mixing up the two events and ruining our evening. As a dancer, I found the music to be too loud for the space, leaving us with ringing ears even though the singer and band were talented. It was disappointing to learn that the manager did not allow adjustments to the volume for diners. We have no interest in doing business with people who lie and provide poor customer service. Thank you.
I visited the restaurant on a Friday night and found it to be completely empty. Despite there being only two tables, the bartenders took more than 10 minutes to bring our drinks to our table, opting to leave them on the bar instead. It was disappointing that they didn't take the short distance to bring them to us. The service was mediocre and slow, even with the lack of customers. When I asked for the bill, they promptly brought over a credit card machine without allowing me to review the charges. It turns out they had already added a 20% service charge and programmed the machine to ask for additional tips, which felt questionable and shady.
La Brasa is the place I always choose for Peruvian cuisine. My favorite dish is the lomo saltado because of its generous portion and delicious flavor. If you're feeling daring, make sure to try the Chicha Morada, a delightful drink that you'll love.
We used to really enjoy coming here. It was like a little hidden gem and decent Peruvian food for Dallas. Coming from NYC, it was the best Peruvian option we could find in dallas. We even had mu husband’s birthday dinner here last year. The food and service used to be good. The service has gone down for sure. As soon as we sat down, the waitress gave us no time to decide what want. She gave us one menu between two people. The yuca fries were cold. The jalea mixta and chaufa were good but the variety of fish isn’t there like it usually is for jalea. Definitely don’t plan on coming back here for a while, if at all.
Food was good! But, service took forever to bring us food and water. We are not coming back.
