The Halal Guys - Richardson

I will not be returning to this restaurant, nor would I recommend it to anyone. They initially failed to complete my order. I called five times with no response. When I drove out there, they decided to remake my order, but the falafels were so hard they were inedible. If I could give them a negative rating, I would, as they managed to create such a disappointing experience. I really dislike this place.

I ordered a regular platter, and after the man added the lettuce, tomato, and rice, he handed the plate to the woman. Then, he whispered something to her in another language about me. When I asked for three scoops of onion and bell pepper, she only provided two. After I requested one more scoop, she told me there would be an extra charge for it. I pointed out that the menu indicated there was no charge for onion and bell pepper, but she insisted that the free offer was only for one scoop and that additional scoops would incur a charge. I agreed to pay for the extra scoop, but it was clear that the man had influenced her response, and I felt they were both trying to insult me. I simply asked for three scoops, not the entire supply, yet they treated me as if I were begging for food. We've been loyal customers since 2019, and this was the first time we encountered such a negative experience. Fortunately, the gentleman at the register was understanding and assured me that I wouldn't be charged for the extra toppings. The extra charge isn't an issue for me—I even leave tips—but the attitude from both the man and the woman made me feel disrespected.

If you're coming from New York, the prices here might seem steep. They are indeed higher compared to other similar places. However, the authentic taste of the NY Halal Guys is definitely present, and I absolutely loved it. Food: 5/5.

I hope the owners read this. One of employees here is very rude this is my second time here and the first time I thought that maybe she just wasn't having a good day but no! I'm not sure was wrong with that lady named Claudia she is always rude and when I asked for the name she refused to give me her name I had to ask to another employee for her name, I stay eating in the restaurant for about 30 minutes and I could see that she was doing the same thing to every single costumer.

Got the combo and it was great! Need lots of the white sauce! Have the red sauce on the side because it’s really spicy! The quality of the vegetables were fresh compared to other Halal Guys we’ve tried across the country.
