Had the scallops this week and they were 4 slices not much larger than a quarter served with 4 sliced pieces of squash not much larger. This was a $19 entrée that would have been a small starter elsewhere. My wife had the same item on the menu two weeks in a row (sweet salmon) and you would not have guessed it was the same item on the menu.
Have really enjoyed this place for lunch, so decided to try it for dinner. Service was uneven, being super fast at first and then slowing to a crawl at the end. Food was generally good, but nothing exceptional, except for the desserts, which were to die for! They provided small pours of wine (4 oz) for top . Surprisingly small variety for being located in the heart of Washington wine country. Most menu items were still lunch-type items, despite being dinner service. Lunch continues to be their strength. For dinner, there are better and more satisfying options in the area.
The food at this place has been consistently good (albeit over priced) and since it's one of very few eateries in this town, we always stop by when we're in this particular city in time for a meal. The wait staff all seem to be too busy even though there's not even room for enough diners to occupy all of them at the same time. It's always slow and a bit stuffy, like the place seems too cool and hip for its own good. I guess if you don't mind the kind of service you get it's worth a try.
Great, creative food! Be prepared for a relaxed, evening experience.
We were greeted by a very cordial hostess. The menu has numerous delicious items. My favorite are the Paninis, especially the savory Reuben. The Tuna melt caught me by surprise, with the Jalapenos, it added just enough of a kick. The variety of cupcakes is enough to satisfy anyone looking for a tasty snack. The Pineapple and the Coffee cupcakes were especially tasty.
