Exceptional service and delicious food! Our server was very attentive, and I even had a chance to speak with the chef to praise his fantastic pulled pork sandwich. The portion sizes are generous—we always leave with a doggy bag. They also have a great selection of beverages. We picked up a to-go order on a night with live entertainment, and the lively "boot scootin'" music added to the experience. If you enjoy good food and country music on band nights, make sure to stop by COALTOWN TAPS to satisfy your hunger and maybe do a little dancing. Whether you're from out of town or just visiting the state, this place is a must-visit! I highly recommend the brisket sandwich and onion rings. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a solid 5!

We visited last night after arriving from Tennessee for a week of motorcycle riding with family from Pennsylvania. The food was incredible, and the service was excellent as well. However, while the music was enjoyable, it was nearly impossible to have a conversation with our family who joined us from another state. Smaller venues like this should consider having a solo singer with just a guitar, without additional instruments or speakers. The acoustics inside made it difficult to hear and understand the lyrics, and we found ourselves having to shout to place our orders – it was quite frustrating! It would be great to have the band perform outside so we can enjoy the music after our meal. In the future, we will be sure to call ahead to confirm there's no band playing indoors. Overall, though, the experience was wonderful, and the food was fantastic!

I ordered the build-your-own fried chicken sandwich, customizing it with pimento cheese, mayo, tomato, and pickles. On the side, I got sweet potato fries that were cut into wedges and topped with a sweet and spicy sauce. The portion was generous, and every bite was deliciously tender. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this meal. My server, who was managing around six tables during a live music event, was exceptionally attentive.
