The noodle was perfectly cooked. As appetizers we had the marinated beef wrap and steamed pork soup dumplings. Good service, nice and modern decor.
It is one of the best well know Taiwanese Beef noodle in mainland , due to the Covid19 lot of their location is permanently closed , this location is the best above all , they open from 11.30am to 6.30pm in weekday , Fri and Sat open till 7.30pm , restaurant very spacious , airy and upscale decor , excellent job on Covid 19 safety guidelines , well done ! , lot of mall parking , good fast place for lunch ,not packed at all in weekdays , menu is 100 authentic Taiwanese style , it taste lot different then any Beef noodle house , their signature dish is the Beef Noodle and Bubble Tea , it is my aunts flavour place , after a three hours shopping for her ,(stocking up on the food for her ,so we end up at Chef Hung for later lunch or early dinner , the place is very slow ,only few customers , we both order the beef and tripe noodle , little spicy and greasy , but the meat is so tender , portion size is average ,the dumpling very freshly made , we both enjoyed it so much ,and full , no room for Bubble Tea , so if you never try the Taiwanese Beef noodle , Chef Hung is the best place to try , price very affordable , friendly staff .
Went to have dinner with my family together with my 2 grandchildren ages 2 4 years old. My son in law recommended this place because it gained good reviews, I would say that the food is bland, not that impressive except that you have a choice on what kind of noodle you want. Will I come back to this place nor recommend it, probably not.
We visited this place for late lunch, it was fairly quiet. The ambient is nice, it is situated in Aberdeen centre, Richmond, easy access by skytrain and ample parking if you chose to drive. The service was quite fast. We had beef pancake, black fungus, pork trotter noodles and half beef half tendon noodles. The beef and trotter noodles are very average and far from the classic beef noodles that Taiwan was famous for. The broth was very diluted and not as tasty. The trotter wasn’t meaty but was mostly bone. However the two side dishes were both quite good, the beef pancake was flavourful and tender, the black fungus unique and fresh, otherwise I would have given a two out of five. The noodles was hand made but the thick one was too thick and not as smooth and refined as those we tasted before. The chilli was very good though. Portion was average for noodles but with very little meat, both beef and trotter.
If you want a good beef noodle place, give this place a miss. We tried different varients of the beef noodles, and we found the beef to be scarce, very chewy and rubbery. Getting anything took a while, and we had to constantly ask. For the price we paid, I think the food is definitely not worth it. They had a tv screen that displayed their menu items, and believe me, I never saw anything that was shown being served. You are paying for the high end decor and that's about it.
