Dave's Fish & Chips - Richmond

We 've visited this restaurant at least 30 times over the last decade, but no more. Food quality has gone down, and the posted hours are incorrect. It seems the restaurant actually stops serving food at either 6 or 6:30PM, not 7PM as posted. We 've been turned away twice because of last call . I 'm no expert, but I think that 's called false advertising. Best of luck in the future new owners of Dave 's! You 'll need it!

The food was good me and my date had the cod and chips, however the service was very rushed and horrible, the servers were trying to take our plates before we were even finished literally still eating, one server a minute later walked over and asked if we were almost done. When we were still eating and talking they didn 't come by and ask if we would like the bill the server just brought us the machine didn 't say anything and left it at our table with the receipt in it. I would have loved to write a five star review because i actually did like the food and the restaurant had a cool vibe going on, but the service was really bad.

Our favourite fish n chips. Worth the drive to enjoy the great food and service. Staff are very polite. It’s definitely a place to visit, highly recommended.

This used to be the BEST not any more!!!! Third time I've been there since Covid. Over done fish dry!!! I ordered clam chowder today and it was very thick paste of flour and water maybe skim milk not creamy, tasteless, few potatoes and maybe 4 6 pcs of clam... NOT the great clam chowder we used to get!!! Must be new ownership. Three tries NEVER again!!!
