Dolpan Seoul BBQ - Richmond

I visited this restaurant some time before the pandemic, and I must say it was excellent! The quality of the meat stood out to me, and I can still remember it vividly. The soft tofu soup was also delicious, although not my top choice, it was definitely good. Plus, the prices here are reasonable compared to other Korean BBQ places I've been to.

I recently visited this restaurant with a friend. It is a small establishment, so we had to wait for a table, but they put us on the waitlist and called us when our table was ready. The waitress was friendly and courteous, and I liked the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was good, although a bit expensive. I ordered the LA galbi combo, which came with galbi, kimchi, and kimchi fried rice with a fried egg on top. The galbi was cooked well, but lacked a strong grilled flavor. The marinade gave it a hint of ginger taste, which was nice. The kimchi fried rice was delicious, not too spicy or overwhelming. The portion sizes appeared small at first, but ended up being quite filling. I was surprised to see charges for refills or extra side dishes that are usually complimentary at other Korean restaurants. Despite this, I had a positive experience overall.

I ordered the pork collar Korean BBQ to go and it was fantastic. It's the closest thing you can get to a Korean BBQ dinner experience in takeout form. The radish and lettuce wraps, along with the side dishes and sauces, were all fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that it didn't come with rice. Besides that, this is seriously delicious takeout food from a great restaurant. Check out my pictures to see for yourself.

My daughter and I enjoyed a bbq of pork belly and beef ribs that was cooked by staff. Our favourite dishes were the panchan selection of kimchi, soybean sprouts, potatoes, green onion etc. The kimchi was especially good. We really appreciated the high quality of meat that was presented on the plate - nice marbling and even cuts. Will hopefully be back again.

Excellent Korean BBQ just around the corner from our rental apartment which is how we found it.Menu is diverse with generous servings.We shared the #20 Marinated Beef with vegetables which was plenty for two!Had a Korean beer to drink.Good team service. Worth trying!
