Their tofu seafood soup is good for 3 people for 2 bowls each. The squid fried veggie is fresh, and the fried beef with eggs are not too heavy for your stomach. Before paying the bills, they have desserts provided, sweet red bean soup, mochi and Chinese Tao su cookies (which I love to eat the most). Next time, I will definitely order food that are more flavourful.
Typical Chinese dim sum located on the third floor of this mall/building. We arrived here on a busy Saturday around 10:30am and the restaurant was already full. We were lucky there was one table left for our table of four and were seated immediately. Ordered multiple usual dim sum dishes. The fav was the chow mein. Get here early. Huge line when we left around 12:30pm.
Food was perfect. Very delicious. Full of flavour. Everything was very fresh and perfectly cooked. Prepared very quickly.Excellent customer service. Everyone was super polite and friendly. Dirty plates were disappearing from our table very quickly and they were keep bringing new clean plates.Everyone was very attentive and moved very quickly. Amazing experience.
I read an article recommending Chef Tony's two restaurants for dim sum and we picked this one to try. The food was very good, including all their vegetarian options. The siu mai was tasty with delicate skin. The pork ribs on noodles were ordered by mistake but turned out to be a pleasant surprise. All in all, a really good dim sum meal for a fair price. I highly recommend the bittermelon dessert ball but you have to eat it while it's hot and crispy. The only complaints were the chicken feet looked so skinny and dry while turning out to be moist and soft. The pan-fried turnip cake looked thin and stale but the flavour turned out to be good. So just some visual miscues that didn't take away from the meal.
We were told, without a doubt, Vancouver is the place to experience the richness of Asian cuisine. For some people Dim Sum may be old news, but neither of us had ever tried it! We had a business colleague (who is from Richmond) offer to take us to one of his favorite dim sum restaurants. He ordered on our behalf as there was what seemed to be hundreds of options – none of which we had any idea what it would be! We enjoyed Chinese tea while we waited for our dishes and were surprised at how quickly the small sharing portions reached our table! We had some very tasty mouthfuls and Patrick ordered far too much for us to eat he went home with leftovers! The seafood dishes proved to be our favourites! He did order one of his personal favorite dishes which he warned us was not a favorite with his family – it was Tripe…. we tried it but won’t again! Lol We really enjoyed the small portions, as we are not big eaters, as well as the sharing aspect of the meal. We look forward to trying dim sum again. Trying different ethnic foods has always been something we always enjoy, so if you are up to the task and you have the opportunity to join family or friends for dim sum, don’t pass up the experience!
