My first experience at this restaurant was more than satisfying. I absolutely loved the tan tan ramen!
Good food, good service, good prices. It gets busy though so arrive early.
This is the best ramen place in town especially if you crave for exceptional noodle texture that bounces in your mouth. Their soup base is also second to none, but if you prefer a more soupy texture, don 't hesitate to request for 'less oily '.
G men is a ramen restaurant located in a strip mall in Richmond. <br/ <br/ I visited during lunch time, on week days, it was pretty busy. They had regular menu and lunch special combos which are mostly rice bowl set. <br/ <br/ I tried their regular chicken soy sauce ramen. Broth was so flavorful, it had good amount of oil, I believe it’s chicken skin oil, chi-Yu? And that made this broth taste so much authentic. A lot of ramen places in Canada, do not have enough fat in the broth so it tastes kind of weak and it does not stay hot till the end. G men was like the ones in Japan. <br/ <br/ Noodle was thin yellow wave noodle. It went so good with the soup. <br/ <br/ Topping was pretty normal for this time of ramen. Cha Shu was really good. <br/ <br/ My favorite ramen in general would be tonkotsu and seafood double soup with thick chewy noodle. but with this ramen I was quite impressed.<br/ <br/ I’d love to go back to this place.
