Hk Bbq Master - Richmond

We have a lot of these HK bbq joints in Greater Toronto Area dishing out BBQ meat on rice quick meals so I wanted to check out this location in Richmond which was very highly rated. It does not disappoint on flavour, even though we took it out and didn't get to eat it until much later when the roast pork skin was no longer crispy, the flavour was there. My favourite is the soy chicken. That onion ginger oil is on point. Price was a little steep especially if you get the duck but you won't be disappointed in taste.

The young man at the front, whose name I regrettably didn't catch, manages the flow of the restaurant exceptionally well. He informed us that there would be a 15-minute wait, and we were seated just shy of that time. He expertly directs those ordering for takeout one way and gives seated customers a number to track their orders. We were able to order, receive our food, and be seated in what felt like around 20 minutes! We ordered two plates at $12.50 each: one featuring barbecue pork and roast pork on rice, and the other featuring soy sauce chicken and barbecue duck on rice. The first and foremost compliment I must give is that all four meats were incredibly tender! If you’re worried about not having teeth, fear not! I’ve roasted a few ducks myself, and they often come out a bit tough, but this duck was juicy and more tender than I could have hoped for. The roast pork boasted wonderfully crispy skin, while the others were coated in a delightful sweet glaze. Ultimately, all you need to do is come here, overlook the minor inconveniences, sit down (or order takeout), and savor this barbecue. Additionally, the staff is impressively efficient! When you’re finished, try not to linger too long, as others are eagerly waiting for their turn.

We ordered Chinese broccoli, BBQ pork, roast duck, and roast pork. They have a special marinated soy sauce available right at the table, so you can generously add as much as you like to your rice. The pork was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth, while the duck was juicy and flavorful. The BBQ pork was perfectly cooked and definitely not dry. There’s also plenty of parking in the underground lot.

Absolutely exceptional! This is my favorite spot. The best choice for dining. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and it's great value for money.

I've heard nothing but praise from friends about HK BBQ Master, so I decided to visit as soon as I got off the plane. The restaurant is located in the same plaza as Superstore. Keep in mind that they are closed on Wednesdays. I've been there twice, both times on a Sunday at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM, and it was quite busy on both occasions. The takeout line wraps around the corner, so it's much wiser to dine in, as you'll be served much faster. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting in line for over 20 minutes, and it didn't seem to be managed very well, with only one woman handling the cashier.
